At Coinify we are looking to expand our extended leadership team with a new Head of Compliance.

The Head of Compliance is primarily responsible for overseeing compliance within the organization and ensuring continuous compliance with international laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.

As the compliance leader and subject matter expert, the Head of Compliance is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the operational compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations - The Compliance Framework.

The Head of Compliance works together with our MLRO to provide assurance to senior management that there are effective and efficient policies and procedures in place, well understood and respected by all employees, and that the company is complying with all regulatory requirements.

The role is anchored in the Executive Management of the company, and as such, the Head of Compliance will be part of the extended management team in the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the daily tasks with operational compliance
  • Manage the compliance assistants daily task and distribution of work
  • In charge of the overall compliance framework of Coinify
  • Ensuring all employees respect and adhere to the Coinify compliance framework
  • Has the authority to make decisions which fall within the compliance framework
  • To bring cases that fall outside the overall compliance framework forward to the Coinify Risk and Compliance Committee
  • To handle the prioritisation of the compliance issues/challenges
  • To Chair the Compliance Meetings internally with management and stakeholders
  • To ensure due actions are taken to identified compliance shortcomings

  • A proactive approach to your tasks
  • Ability to organise, plan and prioritise assigned tasks as well as working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient skills in English verbal and written
  • Proficiency in working with Google Drive, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office
  • Independent decision making skills and the ability to continue strengthening The Compliance Framework for the organization
  • At least 1-2 years of people management experience
